Mike’s practice focuses on civil litigation. He advises on issues concerning technical litigation, business and commercial litigation as well as insurance and personal injury defense litigation.
Mike began practicing law in 1990 at a larger El Paso firm before joining the Firm in 2007. He received his B.S. at Texas A&M University and J.D. at the University of Texas School of Law. He has served as lead counsel in more than sixty trials, and lead appellate counsel in seven appeals, including two before the Supreme Court of Texas.
Mike began his career at ScottHulse, where he eventually became a Shareholder. He is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Throughout his career, Mike has volunteered his time to young athletes, coaching youth soccer, little league and teams at the YMCA. He has served as the Chairman of the Sun Classic Collegiate Basketball Tournament, Director of the Sun Bowl, and on the Branch Committee of Management for the Western Refining College All-American Golf Classic.
