Joshua’s practice focuses on tax, business, corporate and transactional law, advising on issues concerning domestic and international business structures and transactions, tax matters and mergers and acquisitions.
His practice includes issues relating to various business structures, including, joint ventures, corporations, partnerships and LLCs, in the domestic and international areas. He has extensive experience with complicated cross-border business and tax matters, in-bound and outbound business transactions, with a particular focus on cross-border issues in Mexico. He also assists clients with wealth and estate planning for high net worth individuals as well as international estate planning. Joshua also represents taxpayers in tax controversy matters, before the Internal Revenue Service in administrative appeals and before the United States Tax Court and Court of Appeals of the Fifth Circuit. Joshua also has extensive experience with tax compliance as it relates to government pension funds and plans.
Joshua received his B.A. degree in Political Science with an emphasis on International Relations, summa cum laude from Fort Hays State University (2005), and a J.D, magna cum laude, from the Texas Tech University School of Law (2008). He joined the Firm in 2008, became a shareholder in 2015, and currently serves as a managing shareholder of the Firm.
He currently serves on the board of directors for the FEMAP Foundation, one of the region’s best known multinational charitable organizations that provides support to low-income residents through healthcare, education, outreach and economic development in Cd. Juarez, previously served as a member of the Millennial Advisory Board for the Hospitals of Providence System in El Paso, and previously served on the Board of Directors, Executive Committee and as Chapter Counsel for the March of Dimes - El Paso Chapter.
