C. Michael Ginnings

Mick has practiced law in El Paso for over 46 years and focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate law and business law. He also advises on issues concerning banking law as well as business transactions, securities and anti-trust.

Mick joined the Firm in 1999. Prior to pursuing his J.D. at The University of Texas at Austin School of Law and starting his legal career, he received a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin and was employed as an Advanced Technology Aerospace Engineer.

Mick’s experience and expertise have been recognized by his peers as he has been rated AV Preeminent® for over 25 years by Martindale-Hubbell® and listed in The Best Lawyers in America© by Woodward/White, Inc. for Corporate Law and Banking Law for over 20 years. Outside the office, Mick is hitting the slopes, being a former Professional Ski Instructors of America-certified alpine ski instructor with 20 years of experience.

Mick started his legal career at Mounce & Galatazan, where he eventually became a partner. Prior to joining Gordon Davis Johnson & Shane, Mick co-founded Ginnings, Birkelbach & Keith where he focused on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, banking law, utility law and environmental law.

With a career spanning over 46 years, Mick has handled legal transactions for property management companies, car dealerships, construction companies and banking entities. In addition, he has managed acquisition transactions valued between $10 - $50 million.
